Unit Guides are available for all 52 units of Investigations in Number, Data, and Space, copyright 2008-2012. (These Unit Guides do not address the content changes included in the Investigations and the Common Core State Standards companion materials.)
Written by the authors of Investigations, these Unit Guides are designed as study guides to help groups of teachers become familiar and comfortable with the mathematical content, the activities, and the overall structure of each unit. They provide an in-depth professional development experience that helps groups of teachers work through student activities, read support material, look at student work that is embedded in the materials, and discuss critical issues about mathematics and pedagogy. Each Unit Guide is designed to take three hours, but could also be adapted and used flexibly in a variety of different settings.
A CD of all of the Unit Guides is available for $150 (check or credit card only). It includes a Unit Guide for every unit, organized by grade level. (Note: The Unit Guides are available only as a K-5 set; they cannot be purchased separately, by grade level.) Click here to download order form (pdf).
