1st Edition Children’s Literature

Children's literature is used in Investigations to support the teaching and learning of mathematics. While activities can be adapted and taught without the books, literature can enrich the learning experience. The following is a comprehensive list, organized by grade and unit, of all literature that is required or recommended for use with the K-5 Investigations mathematics program (1998, 2004, and 2006 editions). Books with a * were recommended in the first edition; books without a * were added by Dale Seymour Publications during the 1998 Revisions process.
