Practice and Review in Investigations

Many adults have distinct memories of practice from when they went to school. Students worked alone, on sheets of many similar problems, or with flashcards. The goal of such drill was memorization and speed was key. Today’s students need more than this. They must achieve fluency with the same content that their parents were expected to master, and more. They must be able to solve problems accurately, efficiently, flexibly, and with understanding. Therefore, opportunities for meaningful practice and review are embedded throughout the Investigations curriculum.
